Meet Our Exceptional X-Plorers, Class of 2024–2025

“Professors from Harvard and MIT played a key role in helping me understand the practical applications of technology, especially how emotionally supportive AI can be designed to assist different populations.
This experience inspired me to begin with an accessible yet meaningful project: creating an AI-based application that enhances sleep quality through personalized relaxation and emotional regulation techniques.”
Tian, Mental Health
“The Materials Engineering workshop at MIT was a turning point for me. It combined engaging lectures with hands-on lab work, where I explored how X-ray machines function. That experience sparked my curiosity about chemical structures, which later became the focus of my final project.
With the encouragement and guidance of the teaching team, I was able to integrate animation into my final presentation—something I had always wanted to try. I felt proud seeing my ideas come to life through both science and creativity. This experience inspired me to pursue chemistry further and share my passion for learning through animation.”

“Studying alongside students from different countries was a truly eye-opening experience. It showed me the value of diverse perspectives and how much we can learn from one another.
Seeing others embrace new languages and cultures motivated me to do the same—and gave me the confidence to explore my own heritage more deeply.”
Mary, Generative Art
“I am an athlete and have been playing volleyball for many years, but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to study in college.
Through the program, I had the opportunity to connect with Prof. Victor, who encouraged me to explore the field of public health. I’m now developing an app to help young people manage sports-related injuries and raise awareness about injury prevention.
These experiences helped me discover my passion for public health and gave me the confidence and clarity to pursue my future academic goals.”
