Highlights: 2025 X-STEAM Career Program
Meet Our Exceptional X-Plorers, Class of 2025–2026

"Before X-STEAM, I said I wanted to be a scientist just to please my parents. I was shy and unsure of myself.
During my lab internship, I discovered that being a scientist is what I truly want, and that being shy doesn’t stop me from succeeding.
Visiting the medical imaging labs at Harvard and MGH helped me find my passion in medical imaging. X-STEAM helped me find both my confidence and direction."
Hao, Neuroscience and Medical Imaging
"I used to see science only as my academic interest. The ATWIN Mentorship Program opened my eyes to how business can connect with science for deeper impact. Through meeting professionals from companies like Google and Automata, I learned how real-world collaboration works.
With guidance from mentors at Harvard and MIT, I’ve gained clarity about my future path. Inspired by the ATWIN team, I now aspire to start a STEM organization for girls."
Ann, Chemistry

"I used to think companies were just about making money and didn’t really understand how they worked. Through the X-STEAM Program, I learned that running a business requires collaboration across many teams and, more importantly, a deep understanding of people and their needs.
The experience strengthened my interest in business and inspired me to one day lead a social impact organization that creates both purpose and profit."
Raymond, Marketing and Business
"This summer, I had the opportunity to participate in the STEAM Career Exploration Program, which gave me valuable insight into a variety of career paths. Each week, we explored different fields ranging from biotechnology and robotics to architecture and design.
Throughout the program, I met students from the ATWIN X-STEAM initiative, each with unique backgrounds but a shared passion for STEAM and social impact.
One of the most memorable parts of the experience was conducting interviews with my peers from the ATWIN program. Learning how to ask questions and collaborating with new people helped me build meaningful connections that I hope to maintain beyond the program."
Sinha, Healthcare
